What you love most about Latino Health Access:

A couple of things that I love about LHA are how friendly and welcoming everyone is, how dedicated everyone is to supporting the Latinx community, and how much the Latinx culture is embraced. Another thing I love about LHA is that it provides me, as a first-generation Latina, to learn about ways I can assist my community, meet amazing people, and listen and attend to the needs of my community.

Weekly check-in meetings with the student interns demonstrate how the learning objectives get accomplished. Through a Google Sheets form, student interns submit work hours weekly. Student interns are not restricted on the number of hours they may work; however, the student's school requires them to complete a minimum of hours. It is recommended that the student intern provide a presentation or written report to demonstrate how the learning objectives were met.
