Founded in 1993, Latino Health Access was created in response to the serious health disparities in Orange County. We recognized that clinical care alone wasn't enough to address the needs of underserved communities.
Our model is simple yet revolutionary: people are the solution. We empower community members as **Promotores** to lead the change.
"We recruit the heart and train the head." — Dr. América Bracho
A Promotor is a community member who is trained to provide health education and advocacy for their neighbors. They share the same language, culture, and life experiences as the people they serve.
Ensuring everyone has the same opportunity to thrive and live a healthy life.
Every voice matters. We build bridges that include the most vulnerable.
Giving people the tools to become leaders within their own communities.
Become a volunteer, a donor, or a partner. Together, we can build a healthier Orange County.
